Most personalized books ask you to pay and hope. StoryTime flips that: you meet your child's illustrated character first, approve the look you love, and only then is the book made — and only then do you pay.

Upload a few photos
Three to five clear photos of your child, plus the little things they love — dinosaurs, rockets, the moon. That's everything we need. Uploading requires your parental consent, and the photos are used for one thing only: painting their character.

We craft their character
Our illustrators-in-silicon paint several portrait options in your child's likeness — warm, storybook-style art where the hair, the smile, the freckles are unmistakably them.
Step 3 · the approval gate
You pick the portrait you love
This is the moment that makes StoryTime different: nothing has been charged yet. Compare the options, regenerate if none feels right, and approve only when you see your child looking back at you. Don't love any of them? Walk away — it costs nothing. And your original photos are automatically deleted: at approval on account orders, and always within 30 days.

The exact character you approved — same face, same outfit — stars on every page of a fully illustrated, personalized story, so your child recognizes themselves from cover to cover.

While we paint
Your photos are stored securely and used only to create your child's character options. Never for AI training, never shared.
After you approve
Account orders delete the original photos right at approval; on every order they are permanently deleted within 30 days. This isn't a setting you have to find — it's how StoryTime works.
From then on
Only the illustrated character you approved is kept, so we can put them in this book — and any future stories you ask for.
